Amazon Web Service (AWS) has several pricing options, offering the flexibility to manage costs effectively while optimizing performance and data management.
The fundamentals of reducing AWS cost are standardized – monitoring AWS costs and usage, analyzing data to find savings channels, and implementing necessary steps to realize them.
In this post, the methods of reducing AWS cost with changes in user demand will be examined in some detail.
• Get a report of idle or low-utilization EC2 instances and reduce costs by either downsizing these instances or stopping them entirely. Use the AWS Operations Conductor to auto-resize the EC2 instances.
• Identify Amazon EBS volumes with low utilization with Trusted Advisor Underutilized Amazon EBS Volumes Check. For reducing AWS cost, first, take a snapshot of the volumes and then delete them.

• Get a report of the load balancers that are not quite active, say less than 100 in the previous week. Then, delete these load balancers for reducing AWS cost.
